I'm tired of sore feet! Help!?

Right beneath my toes, in the part of my feet that is before my arches is a pain that hangs around and makes me crazy! Recently the central toes have begun hurting too, especially when I bend them. Don't know if the two are related or if there is something different going on. I wear low heeled shoes with a wide toebox, (mostly "walking" shoes) never anything extremely dressy. I've tried the special foot pads that you put into the shoes...those are nice, but they slide around when I walk around! I use masking tape, but that only lasts a couple of days. Are they too small? Maybe I'm using things meant for dress shoes. Uhm. They don't make them wider!! And my toes....anybody have any ideas? P.S. anyone working for shoe support companies PLEASE make some supports for wider shoes than dress shoes and put something on them so they STICK to the shoes!!! (I'm referring to the plastic semi shoe inserts sold in drug stores.)

Your problem gave me deja vu. I had really bad foot pain a few years ago. The problem was resolved when I started wearing "Earth Shoes" A lot of natural food stores have them. They have a negative heel meaning that the heel is lower than the rest of the foot when you wear them. It took care of all my problems so that now I can wear regular shoes occassionally although I usually don't want to. Don't get the ones at Wal Mart - they don't have the negative heel. You can find them online. Good luck.
Reply:If you have any shooting pain going into toes, than it sounds like you may have a mortons neuroma. Google it and see if you match the symptoms. If so a podiatrist can give you an injection to "kill" the nerve causing the pain.
Reply:Call an orthopedic shoe store, they can custom make inserts for your shoes that will fit right.

Also, you might talk to a representative of the store SAS. They sell special shoes for people with special needs.
Reply:go to a foot doctor..they have custom made inserts and will figure out why you have pain.............
Reply:Hon, first question, are you overweight? Have you got a job that requires you to be on your feet all the time? Have you tried 'Homepeds' they are a type of slipper with raised rubber spikes on the in-step. (Helps blood circulation and allows air to pass under the foot.) Have you been checked out for rheumatoid arthritis or osteoarthritis? Have you at any time been wearing high heeled shoes for at least a week, or two weeks at a time? Any or all of these could contribute to your problems with your feet hon, I would make an appointment with your G.P. and let him know what your going through. Have a great day.
