Broken foot. catholic school. uniform?

hi i have a broken foot with a hard cast. i have the special shoe so i can walk. i go to a catholic school and i have a gym uniform. i feel comfortable wearing that, but there making me wear the skirt. it looks so stupid. what should i do? any excuses?

also does the cast go below or above your knee





tell them you want to wear shorts (your school gym shorts) under your skirt for the above mentioned modesty reason





also how many days a week does your class (not sure of your grade) have gym?





if its 2 or 3 days or whatever ask if you can wear your gym uniform when your class has gym even though you can't participate tell them that you feel like the odd person out already (doesnt HAVE to be true what they dont know cant hurt them) and that that would make you feel even worse





i have to say this and i really feel bad for you but try to use the whole "feel sorry for me im hurt" routine if it works theres no shame in it lol

Reply:If the school is going to make you wear the uniform, then I guess you have to wear it unless you go talk to the principal about it and get a note.





I would wear the uniform and put shorts on underneath it and if they have a problem, tell them that when you sit, you can't keep your legs together and that you thought modesty was more important than dress code.

Reply:Catholic schools are pretty strict about the dress code. Unless you have a valid reason to not wear the skirt (if it's preventing you from walking properly, etc), I don't think there's anything you can do. "I think it looks stupid" isn't going to help.





You might ask your parents to write a letter explaining why you don't want to wear the skirt.
Reply:Having gone through catholic schools myself, I understand the uniform. Also, Also I have spent 11 of the past 14 months in some sort of leg cast(s). You need to be more specific on why you want to wear your gym shorts, I have worn anything and everything while in a cast and don't understand your problem. Good luck.
