Best shoe for salsa dancing?

I'm looking for a men's shoe that looks good at the club, and is great for salsa dancing.

I'm not looking for any kind of special ballroom dancing shoes...just something cool.

Thanks!

Best shoe for salsa dancing?
Hello Justin:

I've been dancing for quite some time, and I can tell you that the right shoe is extremely important, just like for any sport or special occasion.

I see that your name is Justin so I take it that you are a male: I am going to suggest a couple of shoes for different reasons.

1. The Cuban heel: it has a suede bottom, its sleek and sexy, but mainly it will help you move on the floor as light as a cat.

2. The two tone "Giordano", it has a suede sole and a 1" heal, this shoe will also help you move on the dance floor with ease, very trendy, "people will know you are a serious dancer".

3. The "Oxford", with a leather sole its a shoe that will give you great performance on any dance surface. You can find them at "Leos dancewear", Chicago.

For the ladies: ladies, I do know that the strappy shoes look cute but are expensive, so leave those for when you really need them, make sure that you can move with ease on the size of heel that you might choose and that your foot gets measured for proper fitting an ankle strap is alway advisable.

I choose to wear the 2" t strap from Leos, they carry it in tan and black and they are very affordable.

I do know that some dancers buy those floppy shoes and to some extent they are comfy, but the truth is that they don't offer your foot the safety that a dance shoe or any shoe should. You need to wear comfortable shoes, that fit you well and help you dance properly, now keep in mind that some dances might require specific shoes.

Happy dancing!

Reply:this is the dest slasa shoes in words:

Salsa is one of the most popular forms of ballroom dance. Young and old alike, whether male or female, are fond of this type of dance. However, those who love to salsa need a good pair of

salsa dance shoes to be in best form for dancing. Since these shoes are made especially for this type of dance, serious salsa dancers need salsa shoes to last them during marathon dance sessions.

Discounted pairs of salsa shoes are perfect for beginners of this type of dance. Kids in particular who grow up so fast need a cheap yet good pair of these shoes. For a beginner class, though, special types of dance wear and salsa shoes are not really prerequisites. Students who are starting to learn how to dance can wear just about any comfortable clothes and leather-soled foot wear. For advanced salsa classes that require more spinning, salsa shoes with special soles meant for spinning are a must. Those with thin leather or suede shoes are especially required.

These types of shoes have a great fit unlike other shoes. Worn slightly tighter than regular street shoes, they should have a snug fit but should not pinch nor bind the dancer’s feet. Salsa dancers need to be able to move with ease without hurting the foot. The feet should be in contact with all parts of the shoe. If the foot constantly slips out of the shoes, the dancer cannot maintain her poise and grace. Those with full sole insoles push the heel forward, thus ruining the feet. Loose soles can cause foot blisters that are painful Dancers’ heels should completely fit in the heel cup of the salsa shoes for dancers to maintain good balance.
