Did you know that Koko the gorrilla loved watching Mr. Rogers, and that he paid her a special visit?

She immediately recognized him, threw her arms around him, and, like he does at the beginning of his show, she took off his shoes. So, anyway, only humans have souls, right?

I love Mr. Rogers. and Koko seems like a very nice gorilla. I think its funny that other people think they know or can determine that sort of thing. "let it be...let it be..."
Reply:WTF?

What does this have to do with souls? Are you assuming that somehow emotional = spiritual? Or are you assuming that only spirits have reasoning ability? I don't follow your logic here.

This shows that even animals have bad taste.
Reply:I wish that sexy old white boy was still alive. I'd pay him a special visit and take off more than his shoes.
Reply:How come the Great Toru Hairy Gorilla has never heard of this Koko?
Reply:Every living thing has a soul. It may not be as in-depth as others, but it's a soul non-the-less. Only those too ignorant to observe the world around them will ignore that fact.
Reply:Can you imagine what it was like for Fred, seeing this five hundred pound gorilla lumbering at him and rearing up to hug him?

He must have had great faith in her gentle nature to not freak out about it.

And just thinking out loud here: But I sometimes wonder if animals have their own gospels. Some kind of messianic cat who came to save all cats or something. (To the theologically uptight: Yes, yes, I KNOW there's nothing about that in the Bible. I SAID it was idle speculation, daydreaming)
