Sweet 16 Outfit??

What do you think of this outfit? I might wear it for my Sweet 16 in a few months... Any critiques/comments are certainly welcome.

Dress:

Shoes:

I'm not exactly sure about what to do about the shoes... I was hoping the pearlized heels might mimic the earrings a little... I have really muscular legs that only look good in heels (weird, I know), and these shoes are the best I could find that still sorta match the theme.

What do you guys think?

Sweet 16 Outfit??
I really like it. The dress is cute and I love the earrings. Your birthday falls in the spring/summer months so it's light and summer-y feeling, and works for both daytime or nighttime. Just change your make-up around. Light/cheerful eye with a bright fun lip for daytime. At night, go with a more dramatic eye, with a peachy/pink lip and cheek. I also have to admit it is nice to see someone not buying an $800 dollar dress for a sweet 16!!!
Reply:i think the outfit is so cute! i love the dress.
Reply:well i am not a guy but i think it looks CuTe :)
Reply:i think you need to get something a little more colorful and not sooo dull, its your party you wanna look sooo good that people eyes would be falling out of there sockets lol
Reply:That would suit anyone, particularly your description of yourself. Have fun!
Reply:first of all i'm a gurl ok and got some fab taste gurl you r going to a get time. ok bye
Reply:I love love love the dress. It is a really flattering dress, and perfect for a sweet sixteen. I have the same legs you are talking about. Not all shoes are flattering. I feel like the shoes are a little too much for the dress. The dress and the earrings are kind of beachy, and the shoes are prom. Why not try something like this:

I think these would totally complete the look! Good Luck %26amp; happy birthday!
Reply:i personally think its not sweet 16ish. its more of going to to the cheesecake facorty-ish.

You need something glamorous that will make you stand out since ur the birthday girl. not too flashy and not too fancy.

Reply:I'd be abit worried about these shoes due to how safe the heal is. its on a hinge so when the heal is up so you have high heels the join isnt gonna be very safe. wouldnt waste the money if i were you and just buy a pair of comfies to walk to work in and a pair of heels to wear at work

What is it called when a baby is born with its feet curved like Cs?

It's not clubfoot....

And the child is borwn with their feet curved inward like the letter C.

I've tried searching the internet, but with my only real description being "feet curved inward like Cs"

you can probably guess that I haven't gotten very far.

I heard yesterday of a kid who had to wear casts to correct the curve and eventually a special made shoe.

any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

What is it called when a baby is born with its feet curved like Cs?
Turned-in foot (or Metatarsus Adductus, MTA) is one of the most common types of foot deformities, occurring in about two out of 1,000 births. This foot looks bent inward in the middle with the toes pointing in, creating a C-shaped outer foot border. There might be a gap between the big and the 2nd toe.
Reply:The following is from the web site listed below. This is just a portion of the info there.

What are some other common foot defects?

Calcaneovalgus and metatarsus adductus are common, mild, foot abnormalities.

In calcaneovalgus, the foot bends sharply at the ankle so that the foot points upward and outward. In many cases, the top of the foot can touch the shinbone. Calcaneovalgus usually goes away without treatment, and there are no lasting effects (2).

In metatarsus adductus, the front part of the foot turns inward. This condition causes the child to walk with a toe-in gait. Most affected children require no treatment, as the condition often resolves itself. However, more severe cases are treated to help the foot work better and to prevent later problems in fitting shoes (2).

Good Luck!
Reply:Sorry, I cant' remember the name, but one of my kids was born with that condition. I cried about it initially but soon discovered that the child is not bothered by it and adjusts to the treatment very quickly. The orthopedic surgeon will first place castes on the legs/feet. Once the castes are removed, the child will have to wear special orthopedic shoes that have a metal bar in the middle to keep the feet apart. Usually, the child has to sleep with this on for several months. Later on, he or she would have to continue wearing orthopedic shoes that curve outward. Eventually, the child will be able to wear normal shoes. It's best to get all of this done before the child learns to walk so that it does not annoy him/her. (I've seen toddlers with this condition who had to walk with two casts on because the parents delayed treatment.) In a short while, the feet will look fine and the child will be able to function like any other normal child. My child had no recollection since he was treated when he was only a few months old. He later became an all 'round athlete who won numerous awards.

Is it normal to go up TWO sizes for a running shoe?

I was trying on running shoes today and the girl (who def. knew about shoes) had me in size 11, when normally in fashion sneakers/dress shoe im about a mens 9. Is this normal to go up two sizes? She said i shoudl have a fair amount of room between my toes and the front of the shoe, hence the sizing up. and it did feel alright. Maybe a little big at the back but when I laced them differently they were fine.

im going to special order the shoes since they didnt have the color I wanted but is this kind of normal to go from a mens 9 to 11 for a running shoe???

Best shoe for salsa dancing?

I'm looking for a men's shoe that looks good at the club, and is great for salsa dancing.

I'm not looking for any kind of special ballroom dancing shoes...just something cool.

Thanks!

Best shoe for salsa dancing?
Hello Justin:

I've been dancing for quite some time, and I can tell you that the right shoe is extremely important, just like for any sport or special occasion.

I see that your name is Justin so I take it that you are a male: I am going to suggest a couple of shoes for different reasons.

1. The Cuban heel: it has a suede bottom, its sleek and sexy, but mainly it will help you move on the floor as light as a cat.

2. The two tone "Giordano", it has a suede sole and a 1" heal, this shoe will also help you move on the dance floor with ease, very trendy, "people will know you are a serious dancer".

3. The "Oxford", with a leather sole its a shoe that will give you great performance on any dance surface. You can find them at "Leos dancewear", Chicago.

For the ladies: ladies, I do know that the strappy shoes look cute but are expensive, so leave those for when you really need them, make sure that you can move with ease on the size of heel that you might choose and that your foot gets measured for proper fitting an ankle strap is alway advisable.

I choose to wear the 2" t strap from Leos, they carry it in tan and black and they are very affordable.

I do know that some dancers buy those floppy shoes and to some extent they are comfy, but the truth is that they don't offer your foot the safety that a dance shoe or any shoe should. You need to wear comfortable shoes, that fit you well and help you dance properly, now keep in mind that some dances might require specific shoes.

Happy dancing!

Reply:this is the dest slasa shoes in words:

Salsa is one of the most popular forms of ballroom dance. Young and old alike, whether male or female, are fond of this type of dance. However, those who love to salsa need a good pair of

salsa dance shoes to be in best form for dancing. Since these shoes are made especially for this type of dance, serious salsa dancers need salsa shoes to last them during marathon dance sessions.

Discounted pairs of salsa shoes are perfect for beginners of this type of dance. Kids in particular who grow up so fast need a cheap yet good pair of these shoes. For a beginner class, though, special types of dance wear and salsa shoes are not really prerequisites. Students who are starting to learn how to dance can wear just about any comfortable clothes and leather-soled foot wear. For advanced salsa classes that require more spinning, salsa shoes with special soles meant for spinning are a must. Those with thin leather or suede shoes are especially required.

These types of shoes have a great fit unlike other shoes. Worn slightly tighter than regular street shoes, they should have a snug fit but should not pinch nor bind the dancer’s feet. Salsa dancers need to be able to move with ease without hurting the foot. The feet should be in contact with all parts of the shoe. If the foot constantly slips out of the shoes, the dancer cannot maintain her poise and grace. Those with full sole insoles push the heel forward, thus ruining the feet. Loose soles can cause foot blisters that are painful Dancers’ heels should completely fit in the heel cup of the salsa shoes for dancers to maintain good balance.

Cerebral palsys? help. worried parents?

hi, i am the mother of a 19 month old girl, who is not yet walking. she has very bad flat feet and walks on the inside of her little feet, she has special orthotic shoes that help her. since she was 8-10 months we noticed a delay in her gross-motor development. she is behind on everything except talking, which she is great at. she didnt kow how to sit up properly till after she was a year old and still i not very steady, she seems to slump to the side when sitting and lays agaisnt anything so she doesnt have to hold herself up. she is only crawling on all fours now at 19months. she has been to a child specialist she has had P.threapy. she has seen a orthopeadic(who said..she was grand and did an x-ray on her hips %26amp; said she was fine)..she seen a pediatriction.who now told us she "might" have cerebral palsys, now we have2 see a neurologist. when standing she cant hold her weight on her legs espically her left. i am a worried mother...help...anyone with same worries???? thanks

Cerebral palsys? help. worried parents?
no matter what the doctors tell you, you just love her and help her achieve her full potential. Don't measure her against "normal " kids because she will always fall short. You have to measure the progress she has made herself. so what if she isn't running and climbing like other 19 month olds...she has learned how to sit and crawl, and that is a big thing for her.

my son has a speech delay. it is hard to tell people that he "doesn't talk much" in the same sentance as telling them that he is 2 1/2. He has made so much progress in the last 3 months, but is still only putting together about 3 words at a time. they don't understand. When he was your daughters age he broke his leg and was in a body cast for 5 weeks. he was so stubborn that he climbed a flight of steps IN THE CAST the week before the cast came off. he walked for 3 of the 5 weeks he was in the cast...that is very unusual.

don't baby your daughter just because she has physical disabilities. give her a chance to figure out how to do things herself (with modifications when needed). a friend of mine has spina bifida ( a hole in her spine). at 16 years old she had a job, drove a car, and did her fair share of the household chores. she actually dropped her crutches at the front door of her house, and had her own kind of crawl she did in her house. she did laundry, dishes, cooked, whatever. I knew a friend of hers who was the youngest of 9, and also had SB his whole family babied him. at 26 years old his mommy still helped him out of the bathtub, and picked up his dirty laundry. he didn't even get up and make a sandwich if he wanted one...mommy did it. if she hadn't finally put her foot down he would have had no self help skills at 39 years old.
Reply:I wish I knew I feel bad for you . I dont know what to say but Im rooting for you good luck.
Reply:My youngest just started to walk, she's not very good at it. The doctors say she's fine even though she doesn't talk and learned to do things later then most children do. If you child is diagnosed with cerebral palsys all you can do is give her the best care and love you can. Good luck and I'm sure nothing will be too bad. You'll be fine and you can handle whatever you have to face.
Reply:There are lots of issues that effect walking. Even if she does have cerebal palsy I can tell already that she is on the good end of things. I cared for my cousin who has cerebal palsy, she cant walk, hardly can crawl, she cant speak or even eat on her own. Probably all that is going to be needed is alot of help with your daughter's gross moto developement. Therapies have come along way now with these issues. Once you get a diagnosis, be diligent in her treatments. It wil be harder, I wont lie, but she has quite a great chance of living a very normal life.
Reply:Believe me...you are doing the best for her by going to the doctors and finding out what is wrong with your daughter. If she does have cerebral palsy, (or whatever the disablility might be) it doesn't mean she can't still lead a full life. She may be slower in walking, sitting up and other things, and she may need help in some of these areas, whether it's human help or mechanical help (crutches, a walker, a wheelchair), but she can achieve as far as she wants to achieve. The fact that she is great at speaking is on her side. I work with a therapuetic riding program and I've worked with children with cerebral palsy for over 20 years and even though their bodies might not work as well as 'normal' humans...they can still do just about anything they put their minds to.

It's normal to be worried, but your concern and love..and wanting the best for your child...will help her no matter what the case may be. Just remember to treat her as normal as possible and let her know nothing can stop her. :)

Charcot neuro-arthropathy?

Anyone here heard of Neuro-arthropathy? I have had this disease in my Left foot now for over a year. The pain and swelling have not subsided. They have casted, made special made shoes, braces. and etc. My question is, will my foot every get better? At times, I can hardly walk on my foot. What will I do? I have to work, and the job I do, requires standing.

Charcot neuro-arthropathy?
My Dad has the same problem. My dad also has a job requiring him to stand on his feet all day. Have they tried nerve blocks and/or facets? They are not a permanent cure. They need to be done every 3 months (give or take). They work amazingly. I have the procedure done on my C-Spine and my dad for his foot. Seek a reputable Pain Management doctor in your area. Best of luck to you.
Reply:your problem sounds complex but i think i have a web site you might be interested in, it also has forum discussion you could get into. anyway, try it, myfootshop.com. check out link in sources. hope it helps you!
Reply:Charcot joints are chronic, and they will probably need to be fused so that you can walk on them in the future.

I have a eighteen month old son, he is premature and he is still not walking yet and I don't know what to do.

He takes one or two steps but he does not stand up straight are there any special walking shoes available for his case. He has a walker, but this does not seem to help him.

I have a eighteen month old son, he is premature and he is still not walking yet and I don't know what to do.
My son was 3.5 months premature. The first thing I would suggest is read the link below and throw out the baby walker!

The link is for BLISS, the premature baby charity in the UK. It is excellent and gives great up to date advice.

My son was about 19 months when he first began walking. He spent loads of time just lying on the floor and exploring his world and I think this really helped him. Don't worry, it will come. For premmies everything just happens that wee bit later. My son is 3 now, healthy happy and doing very very well.

Just spend loads of time with him in play, singing talking etc. I am sure he will be fine.

Your son should be having medical follow up for some time, including physiotherapy. Talk to them about your concerns, but honestly just be patient.
Reply:Thanks, glad I could be of help. If you want to talk further, just email me through Yahoo. It can be a lonely and worrying time being the mother of a premature baby. Other mothers with term babies just can't understand. Report It

Reply:You might ask Shriners hospital to see him. It is free medical care and they have the reputation of having the best orthopedic doctors anywhere. My daughter also had problems walking. At Shriners they found she had misformed hips. At first there was a question about how much normal walking ability she would have, but by the time she was in jr. high and because of their help she missed a state qualiftying track time by less than 2 seconds. What a miracle! It might be worth a call (they may even be having a screening in your area sometime soon). You can find the Shriner's hospital closest to you at their website.
Reply:I really think you should take him to see a physical therapist. He may need medical help. That said, a woman had a child who could not walk and they started "walking" for her moving her legs on a tread mill, -she was belted in a little seat...- and bicycle style on the floor and she started learning to walk after not walking for 6 years- so there is a lot of hope and promise going to a PT.

Good luck!!
Reply:GET RID OF THE WALKER,NOW. They cause hip problems and delay learning to walk. Next, contact the Early Intervention program in your area-assuming you are in the US. This is a free program available to everyone. You need to have your child evaluated. Try the Health Dept. for for information on how to access the program.

What should a pointe dancer do if they have bunions?

I have very, very, very bad bunions. I also dance on pointe...those two things DO NOT mix. :/

Ever since I started dancing on pointe, I have had troubles and I can't stand on my box properly. I don't want to just give up trying (which I am very close to doing) because I worked so hard to get on pointe but it's so hard for me. One of my teachers was talking about these special pointe shoes that are shaped different for bunions. Does anyone know what she was talking about? Or does anyone have any suggestions about maybe some padding or techniques I could use? As soon as I have money and time I am going to get surgery but until then I would like to work with what I got.

What should a pointe dancer do if they have bunions?
The surgery is so awful I had it 2 years ago, and I still have so much pain on the incision sites. And the pins are painful too. So I feel for you. I almost wish I wouldn't have gotten the surgery because I cannot walk in heels anymore. I got both feet done and now if even something light falls on my foot it hurts so bad! Good luck on making your decision, nobody ever told me about the pain!
Reply:I think there are these gel things you can put over your bunions.. I have pretty bad bunions too, but they dont' hurt as much.

You cold also try putting a LITTLE bit of water on your pointe shoes to help them mold to your feet better.. that will probably help the pain.
Reply:have you tried wrapping them really tight with toe tape, or bunheads makes these little pads that you can stick over blisters and bunions they're like a gel material
Reply:bunheads makes pads called "bunion busters" that apparently work really well. My friend has the worst bunions ever and she uses those. She said they work really well.

Ihave blisters on my feet from running is there anything u can do for them?

also is there any special running shoes u can buy

Ihave blisters on my feet from running is there anything u can do for them?
Make sure the shoes fit correctly, use good socks.

Keep your feet dry, you can use powder or Vaseline to help prevent blisters.

You don't need special shoes, just good running shoes that fit properly.

If you have a spot that is getting a blister for no good reason buy some mole skin to protect it.
Reply:Cross-training Nike shoes are often the best running shoe.

Breatheable socks are very important. It reduces friction between your feet and shoe, reducing blistering.
Reply:You've gotten some good responses so far ... most important, wear shoes that fit, and wear good shoes. Indeed, NO cotton socks, get a good pair of running socks at a running store ...

I'm not a big fan of Vaseline, too goopy, but you can buy something called Two Toms blister sheild, it's a silicon based powder you sprinkle in your socks before running ..

And you can always tape your feet. Use something called tincture of benzoin (ask for it at the drug store pharmacy counter) and apply it to the taping area about a minute before adding tape, it makes the area sticky so the tape won't come loose. Band Aids generally get soggy and come off and make things worse after a few miles.

If you're really serious, there's a great book called "Fixing Your Feet" that is great, I've used it and learned a ton from it.
Reply:Blisters were a phase for me. Try this

1. Use thin socks and turn them inside out so the smooth surface is against your feet.

2. Use Vaseline all over your feet before you run.

Eventually, you will "outrun" the blisters.

Good Luck
Reply:Put bandaids on the spots where you do have/usually get blisters before you head out for a run.

Non cotton socks are the best to wear to prevent blisters.

"Special" running shoes aren't required, though your running shoes do need to be the correct size and fit properly. A different shoe can make all the difference.
Reply:Stop running.
Reply:Stop running silly!

Steven Gerrard is the MOST Overrated Player in the World, anyone agree??

Frank Lampard is better than Steven and here are the stats to prove it.....

FACT:

lampard is better than Gerrard.

Official stats:

Steven Gerrard or Frank Lampard. Who's better? It's a question that's flummoxed at least one England manager in recent years. Lampard has definitely been less popular, what with all the booing from England fans but there's also been a small Steven Gerrard backlash, mostly because he's always charging around the pitch like a madman. The truth is that they're both top midfielders, so let's put them head to head using SquadGod data to compare like for like and see who's the more effective.

The pair have played a similar amount of games this season (Lamps 7, Stevie G 7+1 off the bench) so now's a good time to do this. Alright gents, touch gloves, ding ding, round one.

The first and most striking bit of info is that Lampard apparently weighs 6kg less then Gerrard. So either the whole Fat Frank thing is wrong or Lamps was wearing special helium shoes

Steven Gerrard is the MOST Overrated Player in the World, anyone agree??
Yes he is.
Reply:shut up

who do you support then hu???
Reply:NO
Reply:Okaii no thats soo untrue, Gerrard is amazing %26amp;%26amp; so is Lampard...i think they are similar player like everyone says but there have been times when they have really connected on the pitch, there shouldnt be this whole Gerrard v Lamps for England, we should be happy we have 2 world class midfielders to choose from...i support Man Utd so not being biased....
Reply:Chelsea fans say lampard, liverpool fans say Gerrard. There are so many overated players nowadays because of the lack of quality out there. Why were chelsea trying to buy gerrard a couple of seasons ago if lampard is better. gerrard is a big game player and where does lampard go during these big games. nobody knows, but he seems to do a lot better against the lesser teams
Reply:Frank Lumplard?

The biggest joke I have ever heard.......hahahahahahahahahaha!

Gerrard is the better player, who is just class!

Lumplard is well.......Lets just say he is not going to get picked for Cappellos squad.......
Reply:I'm not gonna read all that, it's too much effort to expend on Stevie G.
Reply:It's really hard to disagree with you especially you backed your argument with statistics. Well done.
Reply:Sorry but I can't agree, Gerrard is much better than Lampard. I don't think your stats are all correct either because I know I've seen more than 1 Gerrard assist recently because he provided 2 in the same game to Torres.
Reply:YES.
Reply:Well im not going to read all that as its not needed. There are lots of players with better stats than others, but its alot more than that. Both players are great in there own right, but I go for Stevie G by a mile. The reason being that Lampard has been playing for a great side the last 4 years with great players around him. Stevie G has carried Liverpool almost alone for a number of years now. Fans come on here and say Liverpool are a one man team...ive never heard that of Chelsea....that to me says it all!!
Reply:Muscle weighs more than fat......
Reply:I completely disagree.

Lampard is pathetic compared to Gerrard.
Reply:I would accept that Gerrard is the most overrated player in the world if in another wonderful parallel universe Frank Lampard had never been born. But he was. And he takes that title. He sits in front of one of the best defenses in the country, not needing to track back cuz he knows theyll do it for him, giving him the opportunity to shoot every time he gets the ball(explaing his 0.5% accuracy rate)

When he does manage to score, the chances are it is not of his own accord, but possibly from a deflection off a low flying airplane or gale force crosswinds suddenly blowing through stamford bridge. Its not for no reason that england are ****. Its cuz FL is ****.
Reply:you're over analysing it - it's much simpler than that

if you support Liverpool - Gerrard is the best

if you support chelsea.........

Need help with my outfit!!!!!!?

do these heels and clutch

go with my dress??

http://www.bcbg.com/product/index.jsp?pr...

Need help with my outfit!!!!!!?
The dress is too summer-y for such elegant shoes in my opinion. Instead I would pair a bright pink pair of wedges with the dress. It would certainly compliment it nicely.

Sorry- but I just don't believe they match all too well.

I hope that I've helped you!!!!!!!!
Reply:Yeah they go good. This dress is gorgeous! Too bad i don't spend in $'s
Reply:It all looks nice together but if you can match the color of the shoe to the bag, it would look better.
Reply:Yeah, it looks cute!=']
Reply:yes they do :)

good choice :P

but maybe try the pink shoes and pink clutch?
Reply:yes they go
Reply:Yeah they look nice together.

Although - if you really want to stand out, I'd go for the pink shoes and get a pink clutch too :)
Reply:yes i agree the pink would stand out
Reply:Not really. The fabrics are too different and the shoes are too formal looking for the dress. I think the pink would be cute with a matching pink clutch.
Reply:yea, but i think that silver shoes and the clutch would look better. I dislike the shoes mucho.
Reply:The pink maybe, the taupe no. The dress color is described as cream silver, the shoes although called taupe, look gold. Gold and silver (unless intentionally incorporated in the same item) do not compliment one another when you are wearing different items in the different colors.

Dress help!?

So I've run into a problem with a dress that I got from Charlotte Russe:

http://www.charlotterusse.com/product/in...

Its gorgeous on, but I didn't realize it was really short. Anyways, I bought the dress (before my realization) and got these really cute shoes:

http://www.bakersshoes.com/product/baker...

They go perfect with each other!

Anyways, the dress is still way too short. I need some help with a dress that is sort of a metallic gold type of dress that is knee length and under $100. I have no idea where I could look! Have any ideas? Links really help. thank you so much!

http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?cat... - practically the same dress! only $28, and it says approximate length is 35", so that should be about knee length (get a tape measure and check for sure)
Reply:If your not going to a formal occasion just put some leggins under the dress.... it's cheaper than buying a new dress and shoes
Reply:I am not sure about the dress but the shoes are ugly. Sorry... Try some flats.

Motion control with Superfeet insoles?

I wear Superfeet insoles for my flat feet while I run. I don't have special running shoes. I recently learned that some motion control running shoes would also help me avoid injury. My question is, if I get motion control running shoes, do I still need my Superfeet insoles to run?

Motion control with Superfeet insoles?
It depends...but you might want to try a stability shoe with your superfeet insoles. I find motion control shoes to be very stiff and uncomfortable. I also have slightly flat feet and overpronate. I wear a stability shoe with the green superfeet insoles and they work great for me. A stability shoe is in between a neutral shoe and a motion control shoe. So, it has a little bit of the motion control that you need without the stiff, heavy feeling. The motion control shoes combined with your insoles might just be a little too much....so if you do decide to go with a motion control shoe, I would leave your insoles behind and see how they work.

Magic Sandals!!?

A old couple are on holiday inJamaica.

They are browsing the little shops full of bits n bobs. The husband decides he needs a new pair of sandals for their holiday and asks the jamaican man working in the shop if they have any in stock.

The shopkeeper tells him, "We have some verry special new shoes just come in mon! As soon as you put them on you will be overcome with lust for your woman! We call them the viagra shoes".

Of course the old husband is very sceptical and begins to laugh.

The jamaican man says if you don't believe me try them for yourself mon!." So grudgingly the husband puts both shoes on and his wife is amazed to see he instantly comes over all misty eyed, she is just about to tell the shopkeeper they will take them, when her husband grabs the shopkeeper and bends him over trying to have sxx with him. The panicstricken jamaican yells

" OH NO! YOU GOT DEM ON DE WRONG FEEET".

Foot/Toe/Shoe Problem?

i have trouble finding a good shoe. this is because my pinky toe is the longest out of all my toes. i cant have surgery because the cost is incrdibly high. is there any way i can cut it off safely at home, or is there a special (pignot) shoe i can buy? if you have this problem, please help.

Foot/Toe/Shoe Problem?
well bubba, if i may call you that, i've nerer erer erer erer seen this problem with anyone before. i think that the best way to handle this situation is to tie your pinkie toe to a string, and then attach the other end of the string to a vehicle. then you mezmorize the driver (with your pimple that you have just developed) and tell them to move forward at full speed. but before you do any of this you need to glue yourself to a chair, and glue that chair to the ground. (or else you will gobble into the air) well i hope my advice has helped.

Air force one on shop-nike.com??

The Nike Air Force Ones were first released 25 years ago in 1982! Amazing that most sneaker collectors who salivate for these shoes weren’t even born yet let alone wearing them. The Nike Air Force Ones were the first Nike shoes to have a full length air sole.

h

The Nike Air Force One shoes have been a major hit in the hip-hop community. Since their first release early 80s while the popularity of hip-hop grew, so did the Air Force One. Since hip-hop culture was so closely connected to the streets of New York and the basketball scene there, many of the up and coming artists from the streets of Brooklyn rose to the top while wearing the Nike Air Force Ones.

The Nike Air Force Ones have been released so many times that no collector has one of every pair of the Nike Air Force Ones. With so many limited colorways, celebrity exclusives, and even special holiday shoes, not one person has a good estimate of how many Nike Air Force Ones have been produced.

Question for people with (kind of expensive) mountain bikes?

I have few dollars. I need a bicycle for transportation, so I can get to and from job. Someone has taken pity on me, given to me a 1000 dollar mountain bicycle. This is really for mountain biking, not just a streetbike made to look like a mountain bike. I do not have it yet, I will have to pick it up tomorrow. I haven't seen it, only been told about it.

I need to know, since this is a real mountain bike, will it be hard to pedal on the street? Also, if it has special pedals, can I ride it still with my normal tennis shoes, or do I need a special type shoe if it is a special type of pedals?

Thanks.

Question for people with (kind of expensive) mountain bikes?
i have an expensive mountain bike and i ride it on the street just fine. it's made for rough terrain, but i use it on city streets all the time.

just wear normal tennis shoes.
Reply:A couple of modifications are necessary for street use. One, you can put smoother tires on it, two, I would recommend that you swap out the pedals for a pair of conventional platform pedals. A good bike shop will assist you with these modifications. Oh, and if it has suspension, see if you can "lock it out" when you are on pavement. It will bounce too much when riding.
Reply:Depending on the tires - it should be fine on the street.

You could buy new tires (more slick and skinny) for like $10 bucks if you want.

ANd pedals - if it has clipless pedals - sell those on ebay. And buy you some platform pedals at a bike shop - about $20 bucks. YOu could ride clipless pedals with regular shoes....your feet may slip off occasionally.

You should be fine on this bike...or you could always sell it on ebay.....and use proceeds to buy something more fitting to commuting to your work...for about $300 bucks.

Who knows you may like riding a mtn bike.....
Reply:Mountain bikes arent going to be hard to just pedal around. They might actually be easier. And on most mountain bikes these days, the pedals are special, they require a clip on shoe. If you want to change the pedals out though, its faairly simple.
Reply:I have a "all mountain bike" also and ride on the street all the time. The only thing I would change if I were riding on the street ful time, would be the tires.
Reply:It'll be fine.....and lucky you, that's awesome! If it has really knobby tires, it won't pedal quite as easily or roll as quickly, but that's not a big deal. When you get some money you could buy a set of slick tires for it.....you can get a pair for as little as $35, maybe less.

You should be ok with the pedals, too....you could always buy a pair of cycling shoes that clip into the pedals if that's what comes on it. It's worth it to most people, but you don't have to ride that way. If the pedals that come on it are small and your feet get sore from riding in normal shoes, you can pick up a pair of cheapie flat pedals from Walmart or Target for about $10 or a little less.

If nothing else, be sure you lock that baby up and keep it safe! A good lock like the Masterlock Python or a strong u-lock is the best money you can spend on it....and a bottle of good quality chain lube from a bike shop. Everything else can probably wait for awhile.

Good luck with it....and enjoy the ride! :o)

Tennis Question?

I will be traveling this summer on vacation and i'm gonig to take my four rackets and some tennis balls with me. Can i put those things in my luggage or do i have to carry them? If i do carry them, in what should i put those things in since i don't have a tennis bag? It will be my first time playing on clay, so do i need special apperal for clay or just my normal clothes? Do I needs special clay shoes or can i play with my normal tennis shoes? I know the shoes get dirty on clay, does washing them clean and clothes in the luandry clean them or do i need to wash it with a special soap? Do i need certian types of tennis balls or can i use the normal ones? If there is any other thing i need to know about playing on clay or travelling, please tell me? Best answer and five stars to who ever answer's this best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

Tennis Question?
I would make a special tenenis suitcase, and you can layer your tennis clothes between rackets, so there is no pressure on the strings(maybe mark you bag "Fragile"). Bring an extra pair of tennis shoes, because clay does not come off, and if it does, it takes a long, long, time. You can put your ball in a seperate bag, or in a carry-on bag or tote. Or, you can just buy balls at your vacation spot! Some hotels and resorts do laundry, so if you are vacationing for a week, maybe bring 3-4 outfits.

Remember, a tennis vacation is a fun vcation, so go out there and have fun
Reply:It's better if you carry your rackets, or put them in a back pack,,,,to play in clay courts you can use the same things that you use un hardcourt,,,there are some tennis shoes special for clay courts,,but those are so similar with the hard courts so you can use your hard court tennis shoes
Reply:I usually take mine in my luggage. Remember most airlines are really fussy about the size of hand luggage, so i dont know if you can take 4 raquets.

I think you need special shoes designed for clay courts

have a look here:

http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/searchsh...

and you can use any kind of tennis balls for clay courts.

Have fun!!
Reply:for the rackets and balls , you can put them inside your luggage... under your clothes...

bring 2 to 3 pairs of shoes...

bring 3-5 tennis outfits especially your socks....

it will be very dirty after you play...

enjoy your vacation!

Is it legal for a private school to not allow special needs children?

I contacted a private school today regarding enrolling my daughters. One of my daughters has a bone disease that causes her pain. The superintendant actually had the nerve to tell me that my "normal" child was a shoe-in, but he would have to ask around before agreeing to enroll the other..

Is it legal for a private school to not allow special needs children?
Yes its legal, that's why its a private school. They have a right to set their own terms of admission.

If you want minimum level and maximum acceptance send her to public schools.
Reply:A private school does not receive comparable funding such as a governmental school does through your property taxes. Because of this they are unlikely to be able to provide the care your daughter requires as they would not have the monies to pay for that care.

If something were to happen to your daughter or if you were to be dissatisfied in someway, it would be likely that you would press legal action against the private school and close them down for want of monetary reward on the part of your daughter.
Reply:Private schools have their own criteria. Because they are privately funded, they can choose or not choose students based on all kinds of things, whether they are mental or physical. Most parents who pay to enroll their children in a private school do so because of the school's criteria. The schools are a business and they do what they have to keep the majority of their clients happy.
Reply:yes
Reply:if they treat u this way your kid doesn't stand a chance there, many still have hidden underachievers programs that make little things like what u say lead to more abuse than i can openly express here
Reply:As long as the private school doesn't accept federal funds, then they can choose who to accept and who not to accept.
Reply:Maybe it's because she has special needs and he want to make sure she can be accommodated before admitting her.
Reply:Yes
Reply:It may not be legal, because people with disabilities are protected under ADA law. Check with a lawyer to be sure.

Hope you get this fixed... that private school seems stupid!
Reply:i guess it would be because it is a private school

36 weeks pregnant, want to do something special for my fiance' before our beautiful baby boy is born!?

How do I show my fiance' that I truly care?

I am 36 weeks pregnant, and it hasn't been the easiest of pregnancies. My fiance' Nic does all he can do to hang in there, and he helps me out alot with odds and ins from tying my shoe to cleaning my house, to shaving my legs lol yep he does it all. I want to give something back to him...what should I do? We are on a budget with the new baby on its way and all so I can't spend a ton of money but I want it to be something that Nic will remember. Please help! Thank you:)

36 weeks pregnant, want to do something special for my fiance' before our beautiful baby boy is born!?
I assuming that this is your first child. But every father wants to be a proud father. Get him something that announces that he is a father and can show off. Like a shirt or cap, they are relatively inexpensive. Throw in a card from yourself with a thank you and tell him how much you love him and appreciate him. Make it as unexpected as you can, it will catch him off guard and kinda take his breath away. Also consider making him something, like a card or a cake that says thank you or i love you. My birthday just passed and my wife made me a birthday card. It meant allot to know she took the time to make me something special instead of just going to wall mart. Either way, anything you so will say allot. Good luck and congratulations!!!!!!
Reply:Maybe give him a day off?? Plan a guy's day for him and some buddies. They can go off and do whatever it is your hubby likes to do. For mine it would definitely be playing golf. Or maybe just let him go hang with the guys. Since your baby is coming soon those times with the guys will be going quickly. Good luck and congrats on your upcoming arrival!!
Reply:Call your favorite radio station and request a song for him. It's free, and romantic. Also, you could make a card for him on your computer saying how much you appreciate him and all that he as done for you and how you are looking forward to having his baby.
Reply:Theres only three ways to make a man happy: suck his dick rub his balls and make him a sandwhich after

- Dave Chapelle
Reply:Hey . . . I know that Nic knows how much you love him . . . I know you feel like you need to show him because he has been doing so much for you . . . I would get him something that had to do with something that he enjoys . . . example - golf, football, baseball, cars, firefighting (oh - wait that's my husband :D sorry) hunting, fishing, you get the hint . . . I'm not sure if this is something that you would want to do . . . but I saw it on "The Baby Story" today. . . and I thought it was so sweet . . . I wish I would have known about this when my kids where born . . . I would have had it done for my husband . . . buy Nic a colored t-shirt . . . that he can wear to the hospital when you go to have your precious baby boy . . . and when you have your son . . . and the nurses are inking your sons feet for his footprints . . . have them put your sons little feet prints on the chest of your husbands shirt . . . right on his chest over his heart . . . that way your son will always walk on Nic's heart! . . . I just loved this ! ! Hope you do too ! ! Hope all goes well with you . . . God Bless ! ! !
Reply:try to dress up a little for him. fix your hair and makeup, and mabye buy a sexy matching bra and panty for him! you can go to an adult store to get more ideas for fun in the bedroom! i bought a board game from their and we had a blast!

What to wear on your special day?

"something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a silver sixpence in her shoe."

where did that saying come from? does anybody here actually follow that... meaning, do you actually take something old, something new, and so on during your wedding day? what do you benefit from having all those? i'm southeast asian. so, the quote sounds funny to me.

What to wear on your special day?
http://www.phrases.org.uk/bulletin_board...
Reply:The saying is actually Victorian, as far as I know, and it's just supposed to be a little bit of luck. To be honest I think that trying to make sure I had all those silly things, distracted me from being stressed out the morning of my wedding. I followed it by having my mom's diamond earrings (old and borrowed) and blue on my undergarments, everything else was new and even though I wore flip flops I kept a sixpence in my shoe back in the room where all my bridesmaids got ready. I don't think it brought any luck because I'm not superstitious but it was kind of fun to go hunting for all that stuff, especially since you don't see sixpence very often anymore.
Reply:at my brother wedding the bride did all that for luck. and they got divorced a year later because she slept with her sister husband. so do what you want.
Reply:I did, for luck. But the vows that we made are more important than any luck.

My some thing old was my mothers engagement ring, my baptism and confirmation cross and my necklace.

My some thing new was my shoes, dress, veil, ring...this you will not have to try and have.

MY some thing borrowed was a hooded cape that my husbands cousin woar on her special day. we both had winter weddings just a year apart.

something blue was a bracelet that had three crosses on it. the crosses were my something old and one new my best friend and brides made made it for me it was beautiful.

I did even go to the six-pence in my shoe. You will have a hard time finding a silver six-pence as they are pennies. You are even supposed to go as far as getting the coin in the year in which you are married. My husband and I were married in January and could not find one so I decide it was OK to use one of the year in witch we were engaged.

Any way its up to you. I tend to be old fashioned I also didn't see my husband from midnight the night before till 2pm when I walked down the isle.
Reply:anything you like!

Apa aja yang lw sukaa!! Pake kebaya aja.... (hohohohoho)
Reply:Something old is to remind you of your family (the past), something new is to look toward your future with your new husband, Something blue represents your husband remaining true (the color of fidelity), the Sixpence represents that you will never have to do without in your new life together.

Do I need a special flash for my Nikon Digital Camera?

I need a larger flash for my Nikon Coolpix 4500 digital Camera with a hot shoe, and would love to be able to use the trusty Vivitar Thrysistor 283 that worked so well with my old SLR, but the Nikon manual warns that flashes not specifically made for Nikon Digital Cameras may damage the camera through some kind of electronic feedback. Are they just trying to sell me a $300 flash unit, or is this a valid concern?

Do I need a special flash for my Nikon Digital Camera?
Yup, it is possible for an old flash to fry a camera due to the trigger voltages. You can check this site for more info on that http://www.botzilla.com/photo/strobeVolt... Cross reference your flash against the table there.

In any case, using an older flash would probably mean a loss of i-ttl (for nikon) or e-ttl (for canon). You would need to use auto/manual flash then. In addition, the camera may also act funny (e.g. my old metz on my canon 20D will always give me a 1/200 f5.6 on program mode. I have to use it in manual mode instead.
Reply:yes
Reply:For the new digital cameras you need a flash that is in the family of the TTL, or, Transistor Transistor Logic family. These would be either the I-TTL, D-TTL or just plain ole TTL. If you need a larger flash, or just more flash, take your old gear and either make the simple circuit or find a ready made one that turns it into a slave flash. That is what I did with my old flash gear. Or just break down and pay the man for the new 300 dollar speedlight. The circuit to turn your old gear into a slave flash is a real simple circuit and only cost a couple of bucks. Check into it. Happy shooting.

All brands have something that stand out and you can tell the knock offs from the originals but with a converse its harder for me. Sometimes the logo is bigger, the material is softer or harder (and i dont mean different types of materials e.g swade and leather, duh there is a differece), the inside of the shoe has different sole markings and lots of other stuff.

So my question. What is there to look for to kno the originals? What makes a converse a converse? And are they made in America or in a sweatshop in Indonesia, China , Japan or in some weird place.

Please help

Do Converse have special signs?
usuallie they are made in vietnam or china... they used to be made in USA before being bought over by Nike.

look at the stiching, the heel patch, and the sole. usually the fake one has alot of flashes, extra plastic material due to improper molding. some of the time, a fake pair of converse comes with heel patch showing the wrong signs.

before getting a new converse, i recommend you to check out the detail in www.converse.com, you can zoom in to take note of the shoes detailing
Reply:the tongue says all*star, heel says all*star, and inside says converse. and also on the sole says converse. Report It

Reply:Check the tongue on both low and high-tops. Both should have a tag that says Converse with the sizes.
Reply:although the above answer is right, i am going to have to say that converse have been worn for quite a long time, and not just by punks.

my brothers wore them when they were small in the late 50's and early 60's because they were the best and cheapest tennie for the boys to wear.

honey, you need to get off the "poser" kick. i think this was a smart question to ask. no stupid questions if you learn something....
Reply:Wow..Okay well I got a pair of converse...and it wasn't that hard. You want a pair of Chuck Taylor All Stars. They sell them at places like...well I got mine at Famous Footwear. They were authentic too. They usually say all star on the tounge, and all star on the heel. Good luck.
Reply:WOW....if you don't know how to buy converse, then i'm sorry to tell you, you're a poser. I SHOULDN'T help you since you're a poser....but idc....they're just shoes...i guess....okay so here's the deal....you're looking for Chuck Taylor's all star!...those are the ones you want. It's what everyone who's "punk" wears. But yea, you'll hear people call them their chucks....and if you do....i want you to "chuck" your shoe at them...and tell them Pluto told ya to!...anyways hun, go to the mall....and find yourself some CHUCK TAYLOR ALL STAR CONVERSE.....if you are going for TOTALLY original, get black high tops....if you don't know what that is....ask someone at the store....if you're shopping online, then you'll look for black and ones that go up ur ankle. Good luck and PLEASE......don't be a poser......coz I'd have to like....eat my converse...and find a NEW shoe to wear....coz posers SUCK!!!

good luck!

Very expensive. I've never seen any retailer carry anything that even resembles them. I've seen some girls wearing those sandals with lace that tie up, but those are gross.

Internet Special Today! Policy and pardons for sale! Next Prez of the USA! Simply "donate" SECRETLY to the lib

CONFIDENTIAITY WILL BE MAINTAINED (Bill told the press that the donations have to be kept secret to protect Repubicans---tee hee hee---and the Press bought it!!! : )

So donate now and no one will know. Just be sure to mention the policy or pardon you want when making the donations. Hillary is a shoe-in---her supporters even know she is selling pardons and policy and they don't care---they'll vote for her even if she killed puppies---they're suckers for her charm!

I've even got those suckers at the NY Times writing a full page Op-Ed on why I need to keep my donations confidential!!!

But hurry up----those VRWC guys running Fox might start asking questions...so get you Quid Pro Quo Deals now while they last!!!!!

Internet Special Today! Policy and pardons for sale! Next Prez of the USA! Simply "donate" SECRETLY to the lib
If we keep Republicans in the oval office, pardons won't be necessary. The Justice Dept and the federal courts will be stacked with partisan loyalists. Republicans will never be charged.
Reply:right. and the evil cabal in power right now, what about them?

.
Reply:I thought liberals believed in the entire idea that the government should tell everyone everything instead of being secret for our own protection. Wait, then again no one with a sane mind even supports hillary anymore

I guess that means most of this country is insane
Reply:After the 8 years of Bush, a couple of pardons don't sound so evil. Better than outing our own spy's, or deciding who get non political jobs by their politics or running a for profit army in Iraq that keeps the area unstable so they can make more money.
Reply:You're a Dumb Guy.......
Reply:Smart Guy: Do your self a favor, suspend your Clinton fetish for a moment and do some research on some OTHER President's Pardons. Look up Bush Sr., Reagan , FORD, ect.... Then you can go back to your irrational Clinton obsession.

---thanks

Decorate special box?
Maybe Your love of crafting / sewing/ knitting and such. Fill it with items or maybe crafts you made.

The beach

Tropical/Hawaian

Sports

Girly Style ( if your girly )

Rainforest

Food ( fast food, and such or others you like )

Candy

Chocolate

Items that calm you and relax you . Like lets say scented candles or such.

Good Luck!
Reply:Do your theme as family than you can put pix of your special people in it or gifts that they gave you. It would be considered a need, because everyone needs family.
Reply:how about herbs and spices for the theme

you can cover it with cinammon sticks

fill it with vanilla beans, whole

nutmeg, pepper corns, lemon verbena,

lavendar
Reply:Maybe hearts....a jungle...animals....animal crackers...trees...flowers...turn it into a collage of television shows or music groups that you like...or even books...different kinds of wrapping paper like samples of them...different kinds of fabric into a collage, if you like clothes. There is a lot you could do. Use your imagination. Look around.

Does your church do anything special for those in need at Christmas time from the church ?

Some churches have a 4 ft. tree in the back of the church and have papers with a childs name on it or an adult who is in need...

For those interested , they can pick a name and inside the paper is mentioned what that person needs or wants....It might be a dinner for christmas. or a robe, or some slippers, or a toy....Or a gift for someone else.....Some churches do the shoe box idea where they decorate a shoe box and put toys, pencils, cards, socks...they fill it up for the children of the church with a tag that says girl, and the age or boy, etc...Or they send it to people in need in the apalachians, or somewhere...Good idea

Does your church do anything special for those in need at Christmas time from the church ?
at our churchand with the help of the community we collect food and new toys.Anybody in need no matter what their religion can apply for and recieve enough food for at least a complete christmas dinner. The parents get to come in and pick out at least 1 large and 1 small gift for each child. These are new not used toys .The kids think the parents or santa brought them and dont get teased or made feel inferior which happened before we went to new toys. Our community is awsome in its support of our christmas program. We couldnot do it without their help and support.
Reply:People in need does not have a special day, every day is the same. We feed, clothe and shelter the poor and those in need every day. Try and adopt a family or at least a child by contributing in some way or the other.
Reply:Our church does both, but it seems that the Angel tree is in the Main building, open to everyone, and the Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes seem to go through the youth and families.

I'm glad you brought it up, we all need to remember, yes, all the time, but especially on the holidays.

God Bless!
Reply:We are involved in Angel Tree. This ministry brings gifts to children of prisoners.
Reply:We do the shoebox thing. We used to do the angel tree but we stopped doing that one and do the shoebox thing now. I like it. It's fun to fill a shoebox with treats. I get way more fun out of it than probably the child who gets it. It's almost like a christmas present to myself. It makes me feel like I'm giving a gift to Jesus.
Reply:The church faithful are in need of spiritual guidance. But since they are encouraged to celebrate holidays like Christmas, it is clear they are not getting that guidance. Why aren't their ministers and clergymen warning them of the dangers of associating with the pagan customs of Christmas? Many religious leaders already know the truth about Christmas but will not tell their members because they want them kept in spiritual darkness. Don't be fooled. Do some research on Christmas and then distance yourself from this pagan observance.
Reply:I'm with the Salvation Army and families register a month before

They set up Angel Trees in Wal-Marts

Gifts for the families come from there, business donate food for food boxes, some families are adopted out and that means a local business will take care of a certain families Christmas's

It's crazy when the day come to pick up the goodies, everyone is crying, it is just WONDERFUL!

Let go and let God
Reply:AT OUR CHURCH, we have a clothes drive, and dry foods are collected. The school in connection with the church have a toy drive. The kids bring in used but good toys that they no longer want, and together it is gathered and brought to the city at a soup kitchen location. It is a great lesson for children to learn that some children have nothing else for xmas, as they have much to be thankful for.
