How do you prepare for Umrah?

What kind of stuff do you need to bring to Umrah? like what kind of clothe and shoes and any special items do you need? and is there any specific rule about the clothe men and/or women need to wear? please answer as soon as possible! THANKS!

but there is a lot of details, i don't have a source on hand to give u, i did Umra twice, Hajj once, but also am afraid to forget something...

but u can do further search on the internet to gain more information, and i expect u have a guide for ur group,and every thing u need is out there at Abar Ali or at any Meqat place u'll reach to enshallah, women can wear any thing which is coplied with Shariaa, not so colorful, for men Ehram"white 2 peices, similar to the towel"


perfume only for men after bathing and before wearing Ehram at the Meqat ofcourse.


Neyya is so important after wearing Ehram for men, any way neyya for both starts at Meqat, and soon after Talbya.


"labbayk allahomma labbayk, labbayk la shareeka laka labbayk, inna al hamda, wa al neamata , laka wa al molk, la shareeka lak"


all the way from meqat to Makka Talbya should continue, loud voice for men, low voice for women.


several things u should do at Meqat, but u can do it the day before , cut the nails and shaving"pubic and axillary hair for both men and women"

put any perfume after ehram, or on the top of Ehram, remove any hair or even peice of nail or skin beside after Neyya.


man shouldn't cover the head,women shouldn't cover face or hands.


u can wear a watch, belt for men, pocket side belt, eye glasses.


all Makkah is forbideen area, every thing applied inside Al-Haram Mosque, is spplied st whole Makkah.


u should feal there the greatness of God more than ever.


look at the Al-Kaaba Al-Mosharrafa during Tawaf, and try to keep stairing.


pray for every rhing u hope for ur self and ur Muslim brothers and sisters during Tawaf and S'aae

Reply:as a woman, you do not need special clothes, just clean one. Pls do not use perfume at all after you passed the border line to mekka. you need a Quran and du'a book, just in case you want to read... I advise you to have confortable shoes, but u know that inside Haram, you must take off your shoes. Try to have some socks, the marble can be cold sometimes, especially for women. It is easy to make umrah, especially off the hajj season or Ramadan month. You need patience and be very carefull to fulfill the space borders. Before beginning umrah you must make the intention at the meekat, the border, which is rather close to Mekkah. And the go to Masjid al Haram, do the tawaf and Sa'i. Please read before going there, it will be helpful, and the reward is bigger...may God protect u there
